P4 Report by Luke Smallwood

A great trip over the bridge to the Kingdom for the Wee Reds P4s this weekend. 3 tough games against Kinross and Dunfermline A and B but loads of great rugby played. The team faced up to a tough physical challenge – and that was just getting through the quavers and sausage rolls…

Action from Dunfermline

The boys played great, really starting to get the hang of tackling and some great team tries too. Two wins and a loss to a deserving Dunfermline team seems a pretty fair return for all the hard work P4 have been putting in during training. Looking forward to the next game!

P5s Match Report by Ally McLean

A great day of rugby for our P5 squad, facing off against two good Dunfermline sides and a strong side from Kinross. Lots of tries scored across 3 matches with great demonstrations of defensive line speed, strong tackling and great support running in attack. We’ve worked really hard at training recently on passing before contact to create attacking space and it was brilliant to see this demonstrated consistently by our squad today. Lots of compliments from opposing coaches about our style of play and the positive attitudes shown by all and we finished with 2 wins and a draw. A great days work and a very proud coach!

P6 Match Report by Tim Armour

The P6s were up against Dunfermline P6 and a combined Kinross P6/7. Linlithgow won both games against Dunfermline and drew the first game against Kinross. Learning from the first game against Kinross the Wee Reds came out ready for the challenge in the final game. The rucking was great, Kiernan is now King of the ruck. From the 1st tackle when Jay took the Kinross players into touch the Wee Reds were on top. The Wee Reds formed a Red Wall frustrating almost every Kinross attack and winning plenty of turnover balls. And on the attack there was plenty of runners providing support.
Also a special mention for Nathan who played like a demon and scored his 1st try for Linlithgow. Brilliant team effort and some great learning for all.
