Fine Win for Composite u15 / u16 Team in the Mud and Glaur

Saturday 04 February 2017

Linlithgow  24 – 12  Trinity

A composite u15/u16 Young Reds team beat their Trinity Academy counterparts 24 – 12 in a very competitive game in wet and muddy conditions with both teams trying to play expansive rugby.

Linlithgow dominated the early exchanges and lead by 2 scores. Trinity rallied and forced the Reds to defend for long periods eventually scoring a good try.

The second half was fairly even with both teams managing to create several scoring chances. The Young Reds added to their lead by taking the direct route with forwards linking well. Trinity immediately responded and found space to release their pacy winger who scored under the posts. The Young Reds then began to dominate all phases of play and eventually scored a great try showing good patience and producing 8/9 phases to eventually go over untouched under the posts.

Tries:  Alasdair (2), Jamie, and Grant. Conversions:  Struan (2)
