U16s Come Up Just Short in Glasgow
The U16 side was unfortunately beaten by a faster rucking home team. Hutchesons scored after 6 minutes. Then Darren M went over from the wing to level the scores at 5 all. Hutchesons scored a converted try before halftime for a 12-5 lead at the break.
In the second half, Hutchesons scored two more tries, one converted, to take a 24-5 lead. Credit to the Young Reds though, as they rallied and from the first real backs move of the game, they fashioned a superb try from Aaron, which was converted by Gregor. Now playing with a renewed confidence, the Young Reds scored again, late in the game, through No. 8 Charlie with Gregor again adding the conversion to peg back the score to 24-19. However it was too little too late as the final whistle brought the match to a close.
