U16s Win Big Against High School in Glasgow
HS of Glasgow u16 10 – 39 Linlithgow Academy u16
Saturday 8 December 2018
Saturday saw the U16’s side travel to play the High School of Glasgow. They continued a winning streak by emerging winners by a score of 39-10. In the first half, especially the first twenty minutes, Glasgow had all the possession but were unable to break out their own half. However, the Young Reds managed to score three times in that period with tries from Ewan followed by Gregor (converted by Ollie) and then Ewan again. Late in the half, Glasgow broke through to score an unconverted try. 17-5 at half time.
Linlithgow started well in the second half with Rory crashing over for a try after 3 minutes , the conversion being added by Ollie. Glasgow then rallied and scored their second try on 12 minutes to reduce the Young Reds’ lead to 24-10.
The Young Reds then started to dominant play and scored a further 3 tries through captain Callum, Aaron and finally Ewan again with 10 minutes to go. We’ll done to the impact subs who came on in the second half, namely Aaron, Cullen and Hamish. Glasgow did have great phases of play and the Young Reds did give them too much room at times but it was a fair result for Linlithgow at the close. Special mentions to Harrison for playing his first full game and Ollie for starting as hooker and finishing at stand off! Well done everyone!
