Dundee Squad Prove Too Strong for S3s

Linlithgow Academy S3  12 – 24  High School of Dundee S3

Saturday 17 February 2018

The S3 played a very hard fought game against a 20 man strong squad from Dundee and lost 24-12. It was close with the Dundee boys scoring within 6 minutes of the game but the young Reds replied quickly with a try from our stand off Ewan who broke from a ruck close to the line and dummied the opposition to crash over.

Unfortunately the rest of the game was marred slightly by hard fought contacts and some discussion from various players as to the legalities of the physicality of the play. However the Dundee team continued to play extremely well and scored again just on half time to make it 12-5 at the break.

The Linlithgow team suffered a bit in the second half with having no subs to bring on so our boys were starting to become dead on their feet from the intensity of this well balanced game. They ran in a further two try’s in the second half, one on 15 minutes and the other on 20 minutes in but the Linlithgow boys didn’t give up and just on full time our vice captain, Alex bulldozed over and this was converted by Ollie.
