Another Big Win for S1s Against Strong Opposition

Edinburgh Accies  3 – 24  Linlithgow

Sunday 18 November 2018

Following their success at the Fettes tournament the Young Reds S1s were asked to get a further tougher game in against Edinburgh Accies.  They travelled through to Edinburgh on Sunday fresh from another big win in the Conference.

The first 15 minute game was played with with great power and pace with the Linlithgow youngsters putting over 2 tries while the defence kept out Accies out with brilliant tackling.   The second 15 minute game again was a tight affair with lots of great play and finished one try apiece.  The third 15 minute game was much more open as the Young Reds’ great runners started to dominate the game as Linlithgow ran in 4 tries with none conceded.

Fantastic day against good opposition and the boys really delivered. Tries came through Jack, Caiden, Daniel and the two each from Reece and Johnny.  Two great runs stood out.  First was Reece’s, with his side steps, as he ran from his own 22 through most of the Accies backs.  The second was Daniel’s run from the same distance where he showed his blistering pace to glide passed the Accies defence.

With 3 conversations from Caiden and Johnny the Young Reds finished winners 24-3 on the day.
