The Reds closed off their season in Edinburgh at the annual Leith 7s Tournament on Saturday 27 April. After a close defeat to National League side Murrayfield Wanderers in the first round of the main tournament, they went on to beat Edinburgh Napier University in the quarter-final of the Bowl competition, taking them through to a semi-final against the host club, Leith. The Reds edged a cracking match 24-22, however the referee (who is the final arbiter) had the score as 22-22 and so extra-time was played, with the host team scoring the ‘golden try’ to win and progress to the final. A slightly disappointing end to the season, but well done to Leith in their own 7s tournament.
