P7s Pick Up Where They Left Off at Melrose with Excellent Teamwork
Sunday 04 October 2015
This week saw the P7 squad travel to Kinross for their second tournament in 2 weeks.
From the start it was clear that their heroic efforts from the week before at Melrose had bonded and gelled the team, starting with a hard fought 3-2 victory over a combined Kinross/Dundee Eagles team.
The 2 games and wins for the Wee Reds that followed were both won by coming from behind, they ended 4-2 against Kinross and 4-3 against West of Scotland. In both games the P7’s kept their composure, showed real determination and fighting spirit aswell as teamwork to secure the wins.
Having won their first 3 games with only one game to play the last game was effectively a repeat of last week’s final and unluckily for the P7’s the same result with Melrose running out 3-2 winners. Again, Linlithgow got of to a slow start and had to come from behind, only this time they were beaten by the clock.
Overall another great display of rugby from the whole squad who as usual kept their discipline and showed that the hard work at training on tackling, rucking, line outs, passing and tackling is paying off, which was commented on and confirmed by the referee’s and other teams coaches.
Well done to all the squad, keep up the good work, you did yourselves proud
