Linlithgow U18 lose out to Dundee High School
Saturday 18 February 2017
A much changed Reds team took the field against a strong well organised Dundee HS team. The opening exchanges saw Dundee run in two early scores with the Reds struggling to get enough ball to gain any ground.
Some good hands across the pitch put Kieran into space and with a strong finish he crashed over wide out. This lifted the Reds and they had a lot of ball in the Dundee half the visitors however defended well and proved to be clinical as any mistake by the Reds was punished with a score and they added three further first half tries and a conversation before half time.
Half Time: Linlithgow U18 5 – 31 Dundee HS
The second half ran to a similar pattern with lots of Reds effort but they were unable to translate this into points. Dundee had the experience to again pounce on the Reds mistakes and turn defence into attack very quickly. They added a further five second half tries in the half.
Full Time: Linlithgow U18 5 – 57 Dundee HS
A hard morning for the guys, a number of players were unavailable and injuries during the game resulted in a number of positional changes both before and during the match. The guys never threw in the towel and continued to battle to the end hopefully with the season fast coming to its end we can get more players available for the seasons remaining few fixtures.
