Easter Mini and Micro Rugby Camp
13th to 17th April 2015
Looking for sporting and fun activities for your children regardless of the weather this Easter Holiday? Then head down to Linlithgow Rugby Club they may have just the thing for your kids. The Easter Camp which is aimed at 5 to 11 year olds, is all about fun and exercise but don’t just take our word. A group of 8 year olds that recently came to club for similar sessions expressed their fears and concerns about rugby before they got involved. Emma thought it was all about tackling, Cameron was worried about full contact. Lily feared she would get hurt and Logan thought it would be just plain boring! But having come along to a few session they all said the same thing, ‘It’s really fun!’.
Dougie Thomson, the Rugby Development Officer that leads the Easter Camp and these sessions as part of children’s physical education across local primary schools and Linlithgow Academy states, ‘Rugby at this stage is all about fun and this is a great way to introduce kids to the basic skills of the non-contact game. The Easter Camp is a good opportunity to come and explore the club, its new facilities and the game.’
No previous experience is required, however the children that regularly attend the weekly sessions at the club are always keen to come along for more fun in the holidays. The Easter Camp is a week of mornings from Monday 13th to Friday 17th April. £50 for the first child with discounts for siblings. Weather permitting it will be outside however with recent poor weather and the completion of the Training Centre there is now and indoor pitch available. Contact the club to book your child’s place at email@example.com or 01506 845087.
