Kilimanjaro trek – a message from Lisa Sutcliffe
On 20th October I will be part of a team of RAF Service Personnel from Marham in Norfolk, where Bear was based with 617 Squadron in the 1980s.
We will be trekking up Mount Kilimanjaro to mark the centenary year of RAF Marham and in support of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund. The RAF Benevolent Fund is the RAF’s leading welfare charity with a proud tradition of looking after its own. They are an independent charity and receive no regular Government funding.
My trip is entirely self-funded with all donations going directly to the charity. We will hopefully all reach the summit at 5,895m (19,341ft)! I am delighted to be able to participate in the ‘Kili Climb’ in Bear’s memory and to help raise funds for such a great cause.
I am sending you the link to the fundraising page to ask if you might please consider donating some money to support this fantastic charity:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. JustGiving sends your donation straight to the charity and automatically reclaims Gift Aid (an additional 25%) on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.
