Four Try Cracker

Four Try Cracker!

Linlithgow Academy 1st XV  22 – 0  Lomond School

Saturday 08 November 2014

Saturday’s match against Lomond went well for the School 1st XV.

Following an entertaining game against a team fielding a very large pack, the school stuck to their plan and with 4 very good tries under their belt, ended up as worthy winners recording a final score of 22-0.

Credit to all players with a special mention going to Lyle and Connor for “Volunteering” to play in the front row for the day.

‘Zander, playing at centre recorded two fine tries, with Cammy scoring a classic forwards try, but the biggest cheer of the day was given to Euan : our local TV personality and Captain, who took the ball from just outside our own 22 and ran the full length of the field to score a cracker which was duly converted by Mark.

Although our Team manager was adamant that Euan had covered 72metres in his quest for glory, the official distance has been recorded as 70metres (good effort Jim!)

Ross came off injured at half time which left us with no more subs and thankfully no more were needed.
Euan once again did a great job of rustling up a team which included a couple from the now customary “Mochrie Militia”.

Next week’s match at home vs Kelvinside “Bring it on”!
